Speakingvictory.com is a site devoted to helping the believer live a victorious and overcoming life. There are millions of people on this planet that have accepted Christ and are assured of their eternal home, but are living a life of defeat. Contrary to what many people would have you believe, God’s word does not promise a constant mountain-top experience for every Christian. That is not biblical and would eliminate the need for faith altogether. However, the Bible does promise victory over every trouble if we can reach out and receive it by faith!
It’s is like the two men building their homes on different foundations. The main lesson of that story is to build upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ, but it should be noted that in that parable, the storm raged against both houses. Only one house fell, but the storm rocked them both! The rain is going to fall. The enemy of our soul will attack. No amount of righteous living and prayer will keep Satan from waging war with us. If our house is built on the rock of Christ however, we will withstand.
